We've launched “Adventure Playground” (あそびの冒険広場), a site that brings together free games, tests, quizzes and tools you can play right in your browser. No sign-up is needed. Just open it and play. This article gives a quick tour of the site.

What Is Adventure Playground?

It's a free playground that gathers games, tests, quizzes and tools in one place. Right now there are 28 works across four genres.

・Free to play

・No sign-up or login required

・Works in your browser on phones and computers

・Every time you play, your knight “Ryu” and his partner robin “Robby” grow

The site shows ads. I explain ads and analytics in “About Records and Ads” later in this article.

The site itself is currently written in Japanese. The work titles in this article are translated for reference, so the titles on the site may look different.

The 28 Works

Here are the works by genre. Click a work's title to open its page.

All the works share a fantasy-adventure world. Tests and quizzes are designed so that getting to your result feels like a small adventure of its own.

Ways to Use It

・Fill spare moments with Prefecture Quiz or Typing Quest

・Find your type with Adventurer Type Quiz

・See what day today is with What Day Is Today? The Adventure Calendar

・Help kids study and build habits with Kanji Quiz: Kanji Hunter (content for grades 1–4 of elementary school) or Tekuteku Timer (for children)

The More You Play, the More Ryu and Robby Grow

The site's special feature is that your play history becomes your characters' growth. The knight “Ryu” and his partner, the robin “Robby,” grow the more you play.

What grows

What makes it grow

Weapon

Number of times you've played

Armor

Total number of days you've played

Shield

Number of consecutive days you've played

Robby

Number of different works you've played

Class

The kind of works you play most (tools, tests, quizzes or games)

On the “Your Record” page you can check your title and class, total plays and consecutive days, plus best times for games and high scores and averages for tests and quizzes. There's also a calendar that shows your play days over the last six months in shades of color. You can save your record as an image or share it on X.

Growth is counted up to 20 times per work per day, so you can't level up all at once by mashing a single work.

About Records and Ads

To help you play with peace of mind, here is a short summary of what the site's privacy policy says.

Where Your Records Are Stored

・Your play counts and dates, test and quiz scores, and your character's title and class are stored in your browser (localStorage)

・That means they aren't shared with other devices or browsers. If you clear your browser data, your records are cleared too

・You can delete your records, either per work or all at once, from the “Your Record” page

Ads and Analytics

・The site uses Google AdSense for ads. Cookies may be used to show ads based on your past visits (you can turn off personalized ads in your Google ad settings)

・The site uses Google Analytics (GA4) for analytics

・The site also stores the start and end of each work and test results on the operator's server for statistics. According to the policy, this isn't used to identify individuals, and IP addresses aren't stored

・The site takes part in the Amazon Associates Program, and links that include ads are labeled “PR”

For details, see the site's Privacy Policy.

Summary

・Adventure Playground is a site of free browser games, tests, quizzes and tools

・No sign-up is needed, and 28 works are available right now

・The more you play, the more the knight Ryu and his partner Robby grow

・Your records are stored in your browser, and you can view or delete them on the “Your Record” page

Try whichever work catches your eye first. If you play and think, “I'd like to see a work like this,” or “this part is confusing,” I'd love to use your feedback in future works.
